My story
Meet Lucy. Lucy was adopted in December 2015 at 9 weeks old. She was born in our foster home. Her mom was Australian Shepard though you would't know by looking at Lucy. Her dad was not present, maybe Great Pyrenees? We really have no idea. Lucy was returned about a week ago as her humans work and she was in her crate 12 plus hours a day. Lucy is being fostered with other dogs and at one point she lived with a cat. She was never socialized as she should have been as a puppy. So she is scared when she meets new people or animals. She warms up to women in a matter of hours, men take a bit longer. New dogs she needs to take things very slow. It took her 3 or 4 days to decide the dogs in the foster home were pretty cool. Now that she is used to everyone she loves to play and run the yard with them. Lucy does like to run so a fenced yard is mandatory. Preferably a 6ft fence.Lucy loves her foster mom and dad and loves to be petted and give kisses. Snuggling is her favorite thing to do. As long as you give her that time to warm up to you she is the best dog you could ever ask for. A training class is highly recommended to help build her confidence and work on jumping. **If interested please fill out an application on our website and we can set up a time to meet them, as we are a foster based rescue****adoptions fees include spay/neuter, microchip, vaccines, heartworm check for dogs, FeLV test for cats, and flea/heartworm prevention**
