Guinness's story
Hey guys. My name is Guinness and I am a really, really good boy. Well at least thats what my foster mom says and like they say, Mommy knows best! She says whoever is the one to bring me home is guy going to be very lucky because I am just a great, loving boy. She cannot believe that someone left me behind in an abandoned house and that I was found in the sewer with my legs duck-taped together. Boy was I scared, confused and starving. I was pretty protective of my food and my treats because I didnt really know if I was going to get anymore or if maybe some human was going to try to hurt me again. Im learning to trust people again and Ive come a long way in a very short time (and Mom says thats because I have a really awesome personality and that I am only going to get better and better the more time I spend with good people who will love me and treat me with love and kindness).
Not only am I good but I am pretty darned handsome, if I do say so myself. Did I mention smart. I am a very smart, very loving boy who really wants to please and tries very hard to figure out what people would like me to do. Im not perfect. Yet! Im young and full of energy. Im learning not to jump on people (but it is so very hard because I really want to show them how happy I am to see them but I am trying). Im learning to walk very nicely on a leash. Im pretty great at that until I see a squirrel or something really exciting and then I forget myself for a few minutes there. Ill get better. I love meeting new dogs and new people (I really am a bit of a social butterfly) but I do bark when strangers come to the door and there is no one around to tell me that they are okay. If I know that they are friends I welcome them with kisses and tail wags. I am crate trained, and run into my crate when I am told to go (well I know theres always a treat waiting for me in there!).
I may still have an accident if I am left alone in the house and I might chew on something that I am not supposed to so Mom leaves me in the crate when she is not home. Since I am very bouncy a home with no young children would be the best place for me. I love to chase kitties (and not in a good way) so I need a house without cats or other small critters. And I havent been around really small dogs so a buddy about my size is best. I am neutered, micro-chipped and up-to-date on all vaccinations. My adoption fee is $225.00. Hope to meet you very soon!
